The Social Innovation & Sustainability Research Group (GRSIS) is dedicated to proposing and implementing innovative and scalable solutions to real societal problems through applied academic research. Leveraging the energy of students and the expertise of researchers, GRSIS aims to support and empower people in need by implementing capacity-building projects and creating business opportunities.
Mission
The GRSIS aspires to be the leading platform for excellence in teaching and research in "Social Innovation and Sustainability" on both national and international levels. It is committed to training the leaders of tomorrow and supporting the responsible development of businesses in emerging countries and Africa.
Goals
GRSIS undertakes a set of activities that complement and reinforce each other:
- Supporting business leaders in understanding the challenges they face regarding their social and environmental responsibilities and in exploring the most effective ways to address these challenges.
- Creation of partnerships with socially responsible businesses and governmental and non-governmental institutions to advance understanding of the role, dynamics and impact of businesses in creating sustainable values for society and the economic fabric.
- Design of global and innovative programs to improve the education system and adapt it to the real needs of the labor market.
Key activities
- Organization of scientific and professional events around geopolitics and geoeconomics (round tables, conferences, etc.).
- Organization and animation of periodic workshops in restricted circles with managers and local leaders.
- Dissemination of knowledge and research work through different media platforms (television debates, radio broadcasts, etc.).
