
Casablanca Climate Leadership Forum (CCLF) 2025
Scientific Day
The Casablanca Climate Leadership Forum (CCLF) 2025, organized by ESCA Ecole de Management under the Business Schools for Climate Leadership Africa (BS4CL) initiative, serves as a key platform for advancing climate resilience and sustainable development in Africa. The forum brings together researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore innovative solutions for achieving low-carbon economies while fostering inclusive and sustainable growth.
As part of this initiative, the Scientific Day on November 20, 2025, invites research contributions that address critical climate challenges and propose actionable pathways for decarbonization. This Call for Papers encourages interdisciplinary perspectives to drive forward practical strategies that enhance resilience, support policy development, and promote sustainable business and consumer practices.

Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Dr. Zeinab Hmama is an entrepreneurship and innovation expert committed to transforming the way people learn, teach, and practice entrepreneurship. As an Assistant Professor at ESCA École de Management, she inspires and equips future changemakers to turn ideas into impactful action.
Recognized internationally as an EntreComp Champion by the European Commission, Dr. Hmama is a Certified Practitioner of the Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile (EMP) and a Certified Facilitator of the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program. Her expertise blends entrepreneurial mindset development, innovation management, and impact evaluation, helping individuals and organizations unlock their creative and strategic potential.
Holding a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, she has devoted her research to understanding how entrepreneurial skills and the ability to create value for oneself and others evolve through experience. She is the developer of the Multi-Assessment Model (MAM), an innovative model that redefines assessment as a tool for learning, reflection, and transformation across diverse contexts. Her work has informed and influenced large-scale programs contributing to more inclusive, evidence-based, and human-centered approaches to learning and impact.
Her research has been featured in international journals, including Entrepreneurship Education, Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (JSBE), and the Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies and featured in global conferences such as USASBE, AIB-MENA, and the Diana International Research Conference.
At the core of Dr. Hmama’s work lies a conviction that entrepreneurship is more than business creation, it’s a mindset for change. She works with educators, youth, and organizations to cultivate innovation, resilience, and purpose-driven action.
Passionate about bridging research and practice, she continues to build ecosystems where knowledge inspires impact and where education becomes a catalyst for transformation.

Can a family-owned fuel company in the Middle East lead in the age of sustainability ?
Her work champions constructive, forward-looking solutions to the region’s pressing environmental and societal challenges. Following her contribution to the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28), she took on an active role within the Business Schools for Climate Leadership (BS4CL) initiative, fostering global and regional alignment between business education and sustainability imperatives.
To nurture the next generation of leaders, including executives, she co-designs and develops tailored programs that embed sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into curricula, strategy, and governance practice. She also contributes to case-based research on ESG integration and family business transformation in the region and serves on the Steering Committee of the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) in the Middle East, where she advances thought leadership in responsible management education.
With a background in marketing communications, project management, and corporate sustainability, Nada brings an integrated, impact-driven approach to her work. Her experience spans the private sector, government, and academia across the U.S., Lebanon, the GCC, and Africa.

Thami GHORFI is President of ESCA School of Management, (an African leading Business School based in Casablanca, Morocco) where he teaches communication strategy and change management. Prof. Thami Ghorfi has developed an expertise on management practices in Morocco and the Maghreb region, in entrepreneurship and change management.
He is advisor to several organizations in the strategic fields, multicultural human resources management and leading change.

Admitted to the bar in 1991, he chairs the Energy & Water Committee at the Beirut Bar Association. He holds a Doctorate of State in Private Law and an Executive MBA (Energy) from HEC Paris. Associate Professor, Operations Management
Sherwat Elwan Ibrahim is an associate professor of operations management at the Onsi Sawiris School of Business at The American University in Cairo (AUC). Ibrahim is also the chair of the UN Global Compact Principals of Responsible Management (PRME) Chapter Africa, and was formerly the director of the MBA and EMBA programs at AUC's School of Business. Her previous roles included an appointment as a visiting associate professor at the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) at Princeton University.
Sherwat holds a master’s and PhD in technology management from Stevens Institute of Technology. She has several publications in leading journals, including Journal of Economic Geography, Global Perspectives, Africa Journal of Management, the International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Global Operations and Strategic Sourcing, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, and Management Decision and co-edited a book on Africa and Sustainable Global Value Chains. Ibrahim has been jointly awarded the Ted Eschenbach Prize for Best Paper in Engineering Management Journal, and the Bright Idea award, for her paper in New Jersey Publications.
Her research interests include climate governance in Africa, sustainable supply chain management, global value chain resilience, responsible sourcing and supplier governance, and supply chain technology adoption.
